On Oct. 6, 2010 Dan Wolfe, former President GEAS, had the pleasure of attending the German American Day in Washington, D.C. He had the honor of reading the proclamation from Virginia Governor McDonald.
The ceremonies took place in the German American Friendship Garden. The high point of the event was the dedeication of the new wayside marker that has been installed to give the garden more visibility. This was accomplished by cooperation of the National Park Service, The German Embassy, and German American Groups.
